The position requires a flexible schedule during the year with regard to morning start times (start times will vary from 8AM in the spring/fall to 6AM or 7AM in the summer). Interested candidates should understand and be willing to commute to Hurdle Mills, NC, which is approximately 20 minutes north of Hillsborough, NC and 30 minutes north of Durham, NC. Starting hourly rate will be negotiated based on experience with the chance for an increase in pay after one month of performance exceeding expectations.

POSITION 2: PART-TIME FARM HAND.

Our part-time farm hand position is a 2 day/week position from mid April to mid October. The ideal candidate will be interested in a very diverse workload on the farm ranging from operating a BCS walk-behind tractor, mowing, weedeating, hand weeding rows, harvesting crops, processing herb indoors, and mulching. S/he will assist the farm manager and assistant farm manager and others with highest priority tasks (which usually involves weeding for at least part of each day). The position requires a flexible schedule during the year with regard to morning start times (start times will vary from 8AM in the spring/fall to 6AM or 7AM in the summer).
