Internship information
General Farm Description: Fresh Roots Farm is a certified Organic family farm that specializes in vegetable and flower seed and berries in Polson, Montana. This farm is located on the Flathead Reservation, home to Kootenai, Pend d'Oreille and Salish people. Fresh Roots Farm is a production seed farm. We cultivate approximately 5 acres of seed crops for various seed houses across the United States. We primarily focus on dry seed (lettuce, carrots, cosmos, bachelor buttons, sunflowers, corn, beets, and brassicas). In addition to seed, we market strawberries, raspberries and currants through Western Montana Growers Cooperative as well as manufacture popsicles in our on farm commercial kitchen and market those both direct at festivals and through local retailers.
