GHETC is expanding its mission to include” preserve the environment by partnering with families to improve or instill healthy living practices through sustainable organic farming.” Through educational seminars and onsite hands on training we are hope to educate and promote sustainable alternatives to the current slash-and-burn agriculture practices, which are damaging the soil and having negative effects on the environment. Through our multi-faceted programs, our interns will receive educational training about the rhizophagy cycle and how multi-grazing species and pasture rotation can help save our planet. The interns will work side by side with the staff members to work with a variety of organic foods (ie: blueberries, mushrooms, potatoes, ..etc), as well as with our multi-grazing species (ie: cows, chickens, horses, & goats) to learn and develop the skills needed to successfully enrich the soil through these restorative farming practices.

Educational Opportunities: Our intention is to help individuals who want hands on farming experience to gain knowledge and learn about resources to begin their future farming career. The GHERF regenerative farming educational sessions will provide the students a practical experience on a working farm under the guidance of an educated farmer who practices sustainable, regenerative farming.

Skills Desired: The intern must be hard working and be prepared to get their hands dirty. We will provide them the skills to work on the farm, which will include the use of farm equipment (tractor, ...etc).
