Internship information
General Farm Description: High Hope Farm is located in the Mississippi “black prairie” country of western Clay County near the village of Cedar Bluff. Unabashed "dirt farmers" we utilize intensive rotational and adaptive grazing and other regenerative practices to improve their soils, grasses and animals without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, hormones and other chemical and artificial inputs. In addition to providing healthy and tasty meat to more than 100 customers, we also are committed to developing High Hope Farm as a place to offer hospitality to neighbors and strangers alike and becoming an example of how a small farm, contrary to some thinking, can provide a young farmer a good living and a great life.

We are looking for a farm partner resident to work with us in our “naturally raised, gently tended” grass-fed beef and lamb farm. We offer a monthly stipend and food allowance, comfortable and adequate housing for a single person or couple along with plenty of healthy farm-grown meat, vegetables and fruits. There are also ample opportunities to earn extra income on one’s own initiative with bees, herbs, vegetables, mushrooms, chickens, other small ruminants, etc., and we are willing to provide some financial resources, as well as the use of our land and equipment, to help one get started. We are looking for a person who shares our farm values and vision, who would like to become part of an extended farm family and be open to a long-term farm partnership.
