Internship information
General Farm Description: This is a family farm, owned and operated by Jim and Moie Kimball Crawford, located in the rural ridges and valleys of south central PA. New Morning Farm produces approximately 35 different crops, all certified organic. Crops include most standard garden vegetables, herbs, and berries. Produce is marketed directly to customers in Washington D.C. at farmers'; markets and via an organic growers' cooperative. The farm employs six to eight year-round employees and approximately 25 seasonal workers and apprentices. The farming apprenticeship program is well developed and has helped many aspiring growers launch their own farming careers.
