Internship informationGeneral Farm Description: Small family farm established in 2019 focusing on gourmet mushroom production and small scale mixed herbs, vegetables, and flowers. Mushrooms are primarily grown indoors to ensure consistent high quality harvests. Produce from the garden always has a focus on growing in a healthy living soil, and a diverse and balanced ecosystem. No toxic herbicides, fungicides or pesticides are used. Natural and regenerative farming practices are utilized. We are in a pretty rural area in south central PA. 2 hours north of DC, 2 hours west of Baltimore, 2 hours east of Pittsburg. Farm is 62 acres, along a small creek, more than half the farm is wooded. We only grow on less than .5 acre. The rest will eventually be used to raise animals with rotational grazing methods, but we are not there yet. Very quiet and peaceful.
