General Farm Description: Vegetable farm. We grow dozens of varieties of vegetables and sell via stand, CSA, and wholesale. We are not certified organic, but do meet or exceed the National Organic Program rules and regulations. We also do some canning and have a few on-farm events and a pumpkin patch at the end of the season.

Internship Details:

Looking for 2 people or a couple who are interested in learning about vegetable production in the hopes that one day they’d have their own farm. This is an intensive season-long learning opportunity that will involve learning all aspects of running your own farm. Applicants must be willing to work hard for long hours. Job will include starting plants from seeds, transplanting, direct seeding, drip irrigation planning and setup, weeding, pest control, plant health diagnosis and treatment, harvesting, washing, packing, working at a stand, handling money and credit card transactions, operating a tractor with various implements, operating several hand tools, marketing and social media, processing and canning vegetables, livestock care, customer service, and overall land/farm management. Intern is expected to work long hours with farm owners and will have regular scheduled time off each week.

Educational Opportunities: You will learn essentially every skill necessary to operate your own vegetable farm.

Skills Desired: No experience necessary. Ideal applicant is interested in operating their own farm in the future.
