General Description: This farm primarily grows sustainable fruits and vegetables adhering to organic practices. We also have large hoop houses with an orchard and also several organic vegetable gardens. We grow for restaurants and a farmers market. We also have a small poultry operation. We are starting a new hoop house in a rural area about 25 miles from the main house.

Internship Starts: June 1, 2018
Internship Ends: August 30, 2018
Number of Interns: 2
App Deadline: open until filled
Minimum Length of Stay: 12 weeks- negotiable

Meals: Most meals will be provided. Can accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions.

Skills Desired: A passion for growing plants and a dedication to sustainable farming methods. Strong organizational skills.

Educational Opportunities: Cultivating, growing and marketing fruits and vegetables. Will learn about marketing, selling for local consumption. Operation and repair of small farming equipment. Management of a fruit and vegetable farm. Learn cold climate growing techniques for increasing harvests. Experimenting with new plant varieties and microclimates.

Stipend: 200.00 a week.
