General Description: We are a cut flower peony farm located on 10 acres on the hillside of Homer overlooking the magnificent Kachemak Bay and Homer Spit.
On the farm we also keep bee hives, chickens, maintain a vegetable garden and a 30'-72' high tunnel, which is for personal use as well as restaurant sales.
May-September we will be tending to the peony fields as well as the high tunnel.
Your work load would include but not limited to; making and applying compost teas and natural pesticides, weeding, mowing, planting harvesting from garden, bouquet making, bee tending, honey harvesting, the list goes on..lots of diverse things to keep you active and intrigued.

Minimum Length of Stay: 3 months
Meals: We provide wild caught Alaskan salmon, farm raised chicken and a pretty well stocked pantry for your use and consumption. We have a small flock of chickens that provide fresh eggs. During the summer we will have lots of fresh veggies from the HT.
Skills Desired: A strong work ethic, a good attitude and a desire to learn
Stipend: $600 a month
Housing: We have closed part of our B&B this season to provide accommodations for four interns. There is two bedrooms that accommodate 4 twin beds, a communal kitchen, living room area with Direct TV. We also provide laundry, shared vehicle use and high speed wifi.

Internship Details: You will be expected to work alongside Beth and Kurt with varying hours. You can expect days off but not alway in a row. We are flexible with crew when time requests have been made in advance.
