General Description: Rosita's Farm is a diversified 25-acre farm in north Alabama. At various times we have raised pigs, chickens, beef cattle, honeybees, and organic vegetables and herbs.

Meals: Kitchen available for meals, and produce available from garden.
Skills Desired: We'd like to see a minimum of two years of farm production experience. We are looking for aspiring farmers that hope to start their own farm in a year or two, ideally in north Alabama.
Educational Opportunities: Karen has been working for ten years in Alabama and the southeast on educational programs for small farmers, so there are plenty of opportunities through farm work and visits to other farms, individual training, and classroom programs. Assistance with developing a farm business plan and connecting interns with land in the state is a key part of the incubator program.
Stipend: $100 per week for a limited number of interns.
Housing: Bedroom and common living area in farm house available.

Internship Details: We are just starting to develop an incubator program for aspiring farmers in Alabama and the Southeast. We are looking for a few good interns that would be willing to serve as guinea pigs for the program, which will be a mix of on-farm work, work on nearby farms, and marketing.
