General Description: An intensive pesticide free urban farming project producing vegetables, fruits, herbs and perennials. The Empower Farm is affiliated with the Empower School which provides international internship opportunities for students to assist projects focused on alleviating global hunger and malnutrition.

Internship Details: Intern will be in an active learning environment participating in classes of the Empower School, with hands on learning opportunities in sustainable food production, financial & inventory management & online marketing experience. Participants in the farm internship will work daily in all aspects of running a local organic farm during the season of their internship. Experiences may include: planting, harvesting, building soil (composting), pest & disease management strategies, marketing farm products, exposure to various growing strategies, and other farm projects such as beekeeping with Empower Apiary.
