General Description: We are a small biodynamic, non-certified organic farm. We sell our produce at a great farmers market locally in Deland, FL. Farmer Rich has been farming for 20 years, and has had many interns spend time on his farms. Property is over 8 acres, just 11 miles from beach and 45 minutes from beautiful Florida fresh water springs. We back up to 32,000 acres of state forest. The farm produces seasonal veggies, shiitake mushrooms, fruit, and flowers. A 27' x 60' greenhouse and gardens allow room for rotation and optimal production. The property has room for growth.

Educational Opportunities: Learning about biodynamic farming at every level. It is the responsibility of the intern to take advantage of all there is to learn about an active farm, with guidance through working side-by-side with farmer.

Stipend: Yes, according to motivation, work ethic, and sincere interest in all aspects of farming.

Housing: Volunteers will be provided housing via a travel trailer, with power, outdoor kitchen and shower and compost toilet.

Internship Details: Work requirements are up to 6 hours/day, 6 days week in all conditions. Typical day is to start projects when sun rises, break for lunch and during high heat hours, then additional activities to be completed before sundown. Friday market is from 6-9pm, but arriving at 4:30 for set up, and getting back to farm around 9:30.
