General Description: The Manitoba Farm Mentorship program has been designed to attract a wide audience to opportunities in organic and environmentally sustainable agriculture, smaller-scale production and processing for local markets, and urban farming. Individuals interested in finding a mentor through the Manitoba Farm Mentorship program tend to be interested in starting an organic or environmentally sustainable farming operation, OR incorporating organic/sustainable techniques on their existing farm. There are a variety of farms across the province that are willing to offer mentorship either as on-farm internships or through farm visits, phone calls and e-mails. MFM provides the contact information of these mentors to interested participants when they contact our program.
