General Description: We are a small organic vegetable farm located 50 miles west of St. Louis MO on rolling hills above the Missouri River. We have been farming here since 1990, the first 10 years as a CSA and now sell our produce to restaurants and to a CCSA.
Internship Starts: May 1, 2014
Internship Ends: October 31, 2014
Number of Interns: 2
Minimum Length of Stay: 6 months
Meals: Interns are responsible for their own meals, produce from the farm will be available.
Skills Desired: Previous experience beneficial but not necessary. Applicants must be in excellent physical shape, be able to work hard in sometimes difficult weather (both hot and cold) and communicate well with others. An ability to take instruction and be flexible to the needs of the farm are also valued.
Educational Opportunities: Learning takes place on a day to day experiential basis.
Housing: Housing is provided in a comfortable one-bedroom, restored log house with kitchen and bathroom facilities. Utilities are included.
