General Description: Turner Farm is a certified organic farm in the Village of Indian Hill near Cincinnati, Ohio. The farm is also home to the Veteran to Farmer Training Program, which offers honorably discharged military veterans the opportunity to train as an apprentice with the garden staff in the first season and develop and execute a farm-based business at the Veterans Garden during the subsequent year.

Skills Desired: Honorably discharged US military veterans with a keen interest in starting a career in organic agriculture

Educational Opportunities: Fully immersive, seed-to-market farming experience including:
--organic practices and records
--use of draft horses in fields
--care for animals
--garden planning
--market sales

Stipend: $500 farm market stipend for first year and 1/2 price on all market items during the second year.

Housing: Housing is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Rent is required.
