General Description: We are a small farmstead goat dairy in beautiful Loudoun County, Virginia- about 60 miles from Washington DC. We milk 25 goats and make 8 varieties of cheese, as well as goat's milk caramel and goat's milk soaps, all of which we sell at farmers markets, to local restaurants and retail outlets, at our farm store, and through a CSA program. Our goats rotationally graze and browse about 15 acres of our 150 acre farm, which has been in the family since the 1750's. We operate seasonally, milking and making cheese from March through December. We also have a small flock of laying hens and raise a few heritage breed hogs that we feed whey and rotate on pasture. We are committed to producing exceptional artisanal products and believe strongly that great cheese comes from great milk. We focus on maintaining the health of our animals using natural and herbal remedies, and managing pasture and browse to maximize nutrition and highlight the unique flavors of our land.
