Interns will help with all jobs, which may include daily moving of cattle and poultry, and weekly butchering.

Intern/apprentices work alongside Curtis and Sarah and the rest of our crew as we farm and market. We have an experienced farmer and crew, so you will be learning and working alongside folks who have been doing this for a while, and are excited to share our craft. Tasks include; feeding, watering, fencing, sowing, transplanting, weeding, irrigating, harvesting, cleaning, packaging, distributing CSA shares, selling at the farmers markets and farm stand, composting, equipment repair and maintenance, construction, bread baking, etc.

My goal with providing an apprenticeship opportunity is to teach as much as I know about all aspects of farming... from greenhouse work, in the field planting & weeding, planning/scheduling/organizing, bugs & diseases, equipment repair & maintenance, construction skills (when applicable), animal husbandry (laying hens & pigs) and everything else in between. While simultaneously working, working, working (in all weather) and having fun and enjoying the work while we do it. "I am looking for two part-time or one full-time person for a beginning position, work consisting of harvest, weeding, irrigation/fertigation, string trimming, and general field maintenance. Training up on more tasks will follow if applicants have enough experience, enthusiasm, and/or aptitude. This position is paid hourly @ $12.50. I am pretty flexible with scheduling within the week.
