Minimum Length of Stay: Must meet apprenticeship requirements (coursework and on-the-job training) to complete the program. It should take approximately until November 2019.

Stipend: This is a formal apprenticeship program. Apprentices will be paid for 3,000 hours of on-the-job training. Starting pay is $11 an hour and it will increase by $0.50 every six months. Some farms will have apprentices work overtime hours, which are paid at time and a half. The work season typically spans from March to November, plus or minus a month or two. Apprentices should not expect to be employed by the farm all 12 months of the year, but they will be eligible for unemployment. Apprentices are not responsible for paying for coursework. All coursework fees are covered.
