21 Nov Leopold Conservation Award Winners Announced in Several States
The Sand County Foundation, which partners with groups in several states to offer the annual Leopold Conservation Award, has recently announced the 2018 winners in five states. The Leopold Conservation Award is a competitive award that recognizes landowner achievement in voluntary conservation. Winners receive a $10,000 award. Wilson Family Farms in Jamestown was recognized as the North Dakota recipient, Ercanbrack Livestock was named the award recipient in Utah, and dairy farmer David Geiser received the Wisconsin award. In Kansas, Hoeme Family Farm and Ranch of Scott City received the 2018 award, and in California, multi-generation organic rice producer and processor Lundberg Family Farms won the award.
