Episode 11. Local Foods and Food Banks

In the this episode, Michael McCormick, executive director of the Food Resource Center (FRC) in Livingston, Montana, talks about how the FRC grew from a more typical food pantry to a more active role in addressing poverty and its effects in the community. FRC now has a commercial kitchen, where it conducts vocational classes, and offers a lot of healthy food produced by local and Montana ag operations. The philosophy is to help people improve their lives, not simply feed them for a day.
