Ecological Seafood Farming
University of New Hampshire researchers are testing a shrimp aquaculture method that could increase local food supplies and offer farmers a new income alternative. A two-minute video about the project explains how fresh and flavorful shrimp can be grown in tanks using enriched water. They propose that shrimp could be raised in greenhouses during a four-month winter season, to give farmers an off-season harvest.
