Maine Produce Alliance Offers Diversity of Products to Range of Customers

Maine microgreen farmer Nicole Moore founded the Maine Produce Alliance, a network of 50 farmers throughout the state that serves restaurants, natural food stores, farmers markets, and individual accounts, reports the Penobscot Bay Pilot. When Moore couldn’t meet customer demand for her microgreens, she enlisted the help of other farmers, then began to diversify product offerings. Now, the alliance offers produce, proteins (eggs, dairy, and lobster), and farm-made products such as goat-milk soap. It offers individual customers subscription boxes with the flexibility to pay weekly or monthly and change the order according to personal preference. The alliance offers online ordering and deliveries to pickup locations around the state.
