General Farm Description: Small family farm producing organic vegetables, fruits, and flowers for 6-10 families. Location: Small family farm, South Louisiana
Duration: April – July (Internship)
Compensation: Living quarters provided + hands-on experience in organic farming + $1,000 stipend
Job Description:
We are looking for a hardworking and motivated intern to join our small family farm in South Louisiana. We grow organic vegetables, fruits, and flowers and need someone with experience in vegetable gardening who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting crops
Assisting with greenhouse work and seed starting
Maintaining farm tools and equipment
Helping at local markets (if applicable)
Working in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks
Requirements:
Experience with vegetable gardening (required)
Ability to work alone and stay motivated
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Comfortable with physical labor and outdoor work
Ability to work well with others when needed
