2026 Zephyros Farm Crew— Cut Flower Farm
Zephyros Farm and Garden is seeking to add to our crew for the 2026 growing season!
Over the last several years, we have grown into a cohesive and multifaceted team of dedicated farmers who together carry many decades of growing experience in the Colorado mountains. We are excited to continue to grow our team this year with a few additional positions.
About Zephyros
Zephyros is a certified organic cut flower and vegetable farm that has been serving the western slope of Colorado for over 20 years. Located in Paonia, in the beautiful and fertile North Fork Valley, we grow flowers for wholesale and retail markets in Aspen, Telluride, and Crested Butte. We provide a seasonal CSA of weekly bouquets to local supporters and wholesale vegetables to a local food hub. We are committed to cultivating soil health, agroecological diversity, and a robust local food and flower economy.
Quality of life, fulfillment at work, and compensation for employees are our top priorities. Most of our team members work four-day weeks on overlapping, fixed schedules so that we can meet the daily needs of the farm while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We are unique in that we operate as a horizontally managed team, which helps us to create an environment that encourages innovation, critical engagement, and initiative.
Job Description
This position will participate in all aspects of the farm, including but not limited to:
- Greenhouse seeding and maintenance
- Field transplanting, irrigation, and weeding

This is a 4 or 5 day-a-week position that runs from mid-April to mid-October with the potential for extended-season work for the right candidate. Starting times change throughout the season, but be ready to start at 6:00 AM each day and work for 8+ hours. The ability to work longer days when necessary is required. We generally take a 30-minute unpaid lunch around noon and one paid ten-minute break mid-morning.
This year, we are hiring for weekends. Your schedule may span a weekend or start/end with a weekend.
Pay
$17-20 per hour with a $16 per hour, 30-day training and learning period. After the training period, pay rate will be fairly evaluated based on experience, ability, and cohesion with the team. We value the skills and insights you bring to this farm and want to compensate accordingly.
