Long time diversified organic farmer rooted in community and passionate about rebuilding a localized food system. Have trained and incubated many young farmers that have established successful farms of their own. Driven by the understanding that health is nutrient based and local organic food systems should be accessible and affordable to all regardless of economic capacity. Have cofounded two agricultural non profits while growing a successful farm business that feeds both my family and community. Looking for passionate energetic full time farm interns for the 2024 season. 40 hour weekly commitment with opportunities to help at farmers markets and occasional community food projects. You’ll help in many aspects of day to day operations, such as seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, pruning, fertilizing, washing and processing produce, as well as setting up and maintaining infrastructure. Every day is unique with fridays focused on harvesting. We are looking for hard workers eager to learn how to farm. We’re especially excited about candidates who are hoping to become growers themselves and/or grow into leadership positions on the farm. Farm experience is welcomed but not necessary.
This is a busy, working farm with lots of people (and dogs!) coming and going, so being considerate of others and shared spaces is a must. On farm housing is available, as well as a weekly stipend.
