Hi there, I (Katie) along with my husband Mike farm on 10 acres of beautiful mountain land in Sandy Mush, NC, which is outside of Leicester NC, which is about 40 minutes from Asheville. I am mostly hanging with our two amazing kids or doing office work, but I love to get out in the fields as much as I can! We are part of a sweet little farming community out here. In the past three years we have slowly transitioned the farm from cut flower production to medicinal herbs. We dry the herbs in a converted shipping container and are in the process of building another drying mechanism to increase our output. This is a paid position with no housing available at this time.
