We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Farm Assistant who shares our love for the outdoors, agriculture, and all types of weather.
Job Description:
As a Farm Assistant at Kultibar, you will play an integral role in developing and nurturing our agroforestry and chicken farming operations. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure the farm’s success. Your responsibilities will include:
- Agroforestry: Assist in the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of diverse food crops, fruit trees, and medicinal herbs within the food forest.
- Chicken Care: Provide care for our chicken flock, including feeding, watering, and ensuring their overall health and well-being.
- Land Management: Participate in soil enrichment, composting, and land conservation efforts to maintain a healthy and fertile environment for our crops and chickens.
- Weather Resilience: Work outdoors in all weather conditions, adapting to seasonal challenges, and ensuring the farm’s operations continue smoothly.
- Farm Maintenance: Assist with general farm maintenance tasks, such as repairing fences, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a tidy and organized farm environment.
- Harvesting: Harvest crops and fruits at the peak of readiness, ensuring the highest quality produce for market or consumption.
- Sustainability: Contribute to sustainable farming practices and the farm’s overall mission of regenerative agriculture.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for agriculture, agroforestry, and sustainable farming practices.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform outdoor tasks in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing farm needs and schedules.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow within the agricultural field.
- Team-player mentality and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Basic knowledge of farming equipment and tools (experience is a plus).
- Experience with animal care, particularly chickens (preferred but not required).
