General Farm Description: Cincy Urban Farm is a farm with a vision. All our produce is grown in high density urban areas that used to be unproductive lawns. We do this using 100% natural, organic methods and minimal amounts of fossil fuels. Internship Details:
We are looking for dynamic people with a passion for organic food and farming to join our farm crew. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded, hard-working individual who carries a positive attitude amidst challenging conditions. Work on the farm is often fast paced and we like to focus on efficiencies with goals of time management, ergonomics and productivity. Our season starts in March and ends in October with the peak season in July and August.
Prior farm experience is preferred but not required. Our intention is to support and nurture your understanding, skills, and appreciation for local, sustainable agriculture, with opportunities to continue to grow with our farm. Must enjoy hard work, a fast pace, good conversation, and vegetables(!). We are looking for those who are serious and passionate about farming. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is ready to take on the challenge, responsibility and gratification of farming. Seeking those who are organized, curious, outgoing, and personable.
