General Farm Description: Organic Goat Dairy, no horns, small heard milked by machine. We walk the Goats on miles of farm roads. We also join them landscaping with weed wakers, chain saws. Berry, veggie production. Permaculture nuts, veggies & berries. We go all year.CRAFT Member Farm? No

This is an Opportunity to learn on an established, equipped farm in a striking setting with diverse grow projects. We care for goats, layer ducks, meat rabbits, pigs and their livestock protection dog and maintain equipment.

We ask for your full participation/ attention not a good place to disappear. We put a lot of time into introducing you to our operation. This is probably not your first farm.
Kidding March ‘26. This marks the milking 6 does. We milk by machine and follow w chèvre, feta making or bottle milk for herdshare members. The kids are fun but take time away from many plant preparations.
Permaculture requires weeding, mulching, amending and irrigating. Pruning all winter. .
Field Veggies are cultivated mechanically w electric converted Allis Chamlers G. Not a lot of hoeing if we catch up !
Educational Opportunities: Beyond the book n web ideas. Ideas are only good when implemented, given daily care, processed into a saleable product. Selling is not fast or easy.
Skills Desired: Gotta Love it. A lot of walking, kitchen work, stay on farm. Only Verizon ph carrier is efficient here
Meals: Yes. We all cook and learn to cook here. It’s a long way from field to fork. Slow Food. Fast clean up. No Maid. Leave no trace.
Stipend: Stipend/ profit share as your efforts bear fruit. You will shadow us for a week or more. It’s a lot to take in, different areas. Nature has her rules. We are not control freaks but she is. Constant observation and experimentation. Spinning straw into Gold does not happen upon arrival. Each crop or livestock has windows of time that need to be cared for. We need to be ready for these. There is a lot of multi tasking Clear communication means everything. Farm diversity is good but requires keen attention.
