General Farm Description: We are a chemical free, no-till vegetable farm located in the St. Croix River Valley in Western WI. We are an hour away from Minneapolis and moments away from beautiful outdoor recreation. We focus on sustainability within our farming operation and are proud to produce high quality fruits and vegetables for our community members through our 200 member CSA and our 3 farmers markets. Internship Details:
This position is great for someone who has some farming experience but is wanting to see, taste and smell what a full season of vegetable growing is like both mentally and physically. The full-time main season position assists in a variety of tasks; proper harvest and washing of vegetables for our markets, learning transplanting and weed suppression techniques, IPM best practices and what the day-to-day life on the farm is like. We also share our background as small business owners and details around best practices in farm book keeping, how to prepare for tax season, what it’s like to hire employees and are happy to answer any other questions an intern might have. If you’re thinking of starting a farming business or just want to dive a little deeper into farm life, this could be the right fit for you!

Full time: 35-40 hrs/week typically 7-4PM with two consecutive days off per week.
Educational Opportunities: $150 stipend given to intern for pursuit of educational opportunities or materials
Skills Desired: 6 moth- 1 year of previous farming experience
Meals: Access to all farm veggies as well as staple items like beans, rice and flour. Community lunches are offered during work week.
Stipend: $11/hr base pay, negotiable based on previous organic farming experience.
Housing: Private room with separate entrance. Fully furnished if needed. Heat, kitchenette. Full kitchen use available in our onsite commercial kitchen. Internet included. Shared bathroom.
