General Farm Description: Come to Aspen Moon Farm and practice regenerative agriculture. We are USDA certified Organic, also certified with the Real Organic Project (keeping organic true), and have been using biodynamic practices since 2009. We grow a variety of produce, flowers, berries, and starter plants for the local community. We have positions open for experienced farmers as well as people looking to learn through work how to farm biodynamically and Organically. Work with a great team on a diversified Organic vegetable farm growing: an abundance of high-quality, nutritious produce to feed the people; gorgeous, pollinator-friendly fresh flowers to spread joy to people's homes; and starter plants for healthy gardens throughout the community. Throughout the season: we attend two weekly Farmers Markets; operate a large CSA and roadside Farm Stand; supply some wholesale to local school districts, food hubs, restaurants, etc; and donate loads to food access programs.

Come work with a great team on a diversified Organic vegetable farm growing high-quality produce, fresh flowers, berries, herbs, and starter plants for two farmers markets, a large CSA, and a farm stand. Job Description– may include some or most of the following:

  • Greenhouse work: robust Spring growing 30,000 certified organic starter plants for local gardeners plus plants for the Farm
  • Field work (harvesting, transplanting, weeding, etc.)
  • Packhouse Work (bunch, pack, and prepare vegetables)
  • Pack CSA boxes, CSA distribution from Farm, Boulder, or Denver
  • Farmers Markets- Longmont or Boulder on Saturdays
  • Prepare, pack, and drive market trucks
  • Farm Stand (operating our roadside Farm Stand)
  • Flower work (harvesting, designing, making bouquets, drying, etc.)
  • Record-keeping, planning, preparing
  • Tractor work, irrigation

 

Positions Available:  March- November/December

*Farm/Market crew: $17-19/hr + staff veggies. 40hrs/week. Work and learn! Tue-Sat (May be Mon-Fri from Mar-July based on farm needs)
*Crew Leaders, Managers:  $20-$22/hr DOE + staff veggies. Experience required. 40-55hr weeks with OT pay over 40. That’s right- you will get time-and-a-half pay rate for all hours over 40!! Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat.
*Tractor/equipment operator:$20-25/hr DOE + staff veggies. 3-5 experience required. 40-55hr weeks with OT pay over 40. That’s right- you will get time-and-a-half pay rate for all hours over 40!! Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat.

Benefits: Bonus pay twice during the season for all full-time, full-season staff in their second year of employment at Aspen Moon! You’ll earn 1 hour bonus pay for every 40 hrs worked. Sick pay for all staff.  Innovative training program for all staff. Collaborative working group with a local facilitator so your voice can always be heard.
