Internship information
General Farm Description: Owl Wood Farm is a small, diverse, no-till vegetable operation located in Salem, NY. We grow intensively with hand tools on about 1 acre and sell at three local farmers markets. We grow organically and strive for a harmonious relationship with nature through small scale biological agriculture. We grow a diversity of vegetables from Arugula to Zucchini, and focus on being efficient. A river flows close to the fields and offers a great place to cool off on a hot day. We are only a short distance to kayaking and other activities on the Battenkill River and there is a lot of hiking and biking in the area as well.
