Internship information
General Farm Description: Pacific Crest Farm is a 19-acre Certified Naturally Grown farm located on Vashon/Maury Island. Our land is owned by Pacific Crest Montessori School, which is located in Seattle. PCS students play an active role in the farm, coming out for weekly day trips, spring overnights and summer camps. We grow mixed vegetables, berries and flowers on approximately 2 acres. We harvest from a diverse array of fruit and nut trees, including apples, plums, figs hazels and chestnuts. In addition, we raise chickens, turkeys and sheep. We sell our produce through our roadside farm stand and local restaurants. This season we are sharing our open position with friends and fellow farmers at Wild Dreams Farm and Seed. Wild Dreams is a diverse open-pollinated seed farm operated on a shy 2-acre property on the south end of Vashon Island. The farm offers an educational experience in open-pollinated herb, flower and vegetable seed production along with food crops, medicinal plants and community workshops.CRAFT Member Farm? Yes
