Internship information
General Farm Description: Tierra Garden is a therapeutic and educational garden located at the Tierra Learning Center. Tierra Learning Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through connections with nature, the arts, and community building. The garden is a space of growing and learning for the participants of an adult day program and residents of a group home located on the property. There is also a preschool on the property that engages in the garden as well. We grow mixed vegetables, herbs, and flowers on about 1.5 acres and we donate most of the produce to the local food pantry.
