General Farm Description: About Chance Farm We focus on producing high quality vegetables by following organic practices and good land stewardship in Bozeman, MT. Chance Farm grows 30+ varieties of vegetables that we sell at Farmers’ Markets, restaurants, grocery stores, wholesale accounts, and a CSA. What is it like to Work at Chance Farm? Members of our tight-knit crew participate in many aspects of vegetable production including greenhouse seeding, planting, weeding, pruning, trellising, harvesting, wash and packing orders, farm maintenance, and farmers’ Markets. During the main season, our team consists of 10 people. We utilize scale-appropriate tools to save time, reduce wear and tear on our bodies, and increase efficiency and productivity. Be an active member of a small team that takes pride in their work, and grow together! What’s Happening in Montana Gallatin Valley has a lot going on! Under the beautiful open skies of Montana there is lots of hiking, fishing, and backpacking. And, hey! Just a short 2 hour drive to Yellowstone! For those who revel in a growing, thriving community, Bozeman, MT is a great place!

Chance Farm is hiring for the 2024 season.
We focus on producing high quality vegetables by following organic practices and good land stewardship in Bozeman, MT. Chance Farm grows 30+ varieties of vegetables that we sell at Farmers’ Markets, restaurants, grocery stores, wholesale accounts, and a small CSA.
The farm consists of 6 high tunnels, 3 caterpillar tunnels, 3 acres in field production, and a pack-house.

PRODUCTION MANAGER
  • Full-time: 45-55 hours/week
  • When: March 1st – mid December (weather dependent)
  • Compensation: $20/hr+ DOE
We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual with strong communication and leadership skills to join us in the role of Production Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is implementing the crop plan on time.
GREENHOUSE MANAGER
  • Full-time: 35-45 hours/week
  • When: March 1st – mid November (weather dependent)
  • Compensation: $17/hr+ DOE
We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join us in the role of Greenhouse Manager as part of the production crew. The primary responsibility of this position is implementing the greenhouse crop plan and microgreen seeding schedule, leading the crew in trellising and pruning greenhouse crops, caring for transplants and microgreens, and participating in harvesting.
FIELD/HARVEST LEAD
  • Full-time: 35-45 hours/week
  • When:   May 1st – mid December (weather dependent)
  • Compensation: $16/hr+ DOE
We are seeking a positive, and upbeat individual with strong communication and leadership skills to join us in the role of Field/Harvest Lead. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead part of the harvest crew to execute the daily harvest plan and, and to play a vital role on the production team.

Meals: We do not provide meals. However, you will have access to as many vegetables as you can eat

Stipend: $15-$20/hr DOE plus overtime pay Free high-quality, organic produce from the farm.
