Internship information
General Farm Description: We have been growing veggies and fruit for over 25 years on this property. Every year we learn more and we love learning! We try to grow as much of our own food as possible especially in the summer. Putting up food for the winter is something we do via pickling, freezing, drying, and canning. We are hoping at least one of our goats is pregnant!! We have 2 different small flocks of chickens and are currently working on building a new wood fired sauna and hot tub. We run Farm to Table Dinners and Brunches in the summer with food that we have grown. We are a multi-generational household. LGBQT+ encouraged to apply! Must be Covid vaccinated and non smoking.

We operate a 5,000 sq. ft. vegetable garden as well as a 500sq. ft. greenhouse, a large fruit orchard, several goats that we are hoping will be in milk this spring and a small flock of chickens. Our farm rests on one of the highest places on Bainbridge Island and we have a stunning view of the Olympic mountains when it is clear. We are a 8-minute car ride or 20-minute bike ride from the quaint downtown area, as well as the Seattle ferry dock. We are hoping to have classes/experiences this summer for people to interact with and learn about the farm. The farm is located just a quick 5-minute walk from the Grand Forest, a fantastic network of hiking and biking trails that spans the island. There is an active woodshop on the property, building local furniture and processing local lumber.
