While earning his B.S in Agriculture Business at Texas State University, Carlos became interested in sustainable agriculture practices. He joined Farmshare Austin to gain exposure to these methods and to learn more about local food systems, food access, and land preservation. As Program Manager with Farmshare, Carlos addressed food insecurity in Central Texas by offering easy access to locally sourced produce. Personally, he has operated a small business, explored different hobby farming projects, and now raises a small herd of dairy goats in Northwest Arkansas.
