Urban Agriculture Courses Available Free Online

The Cornell Small Farms Program’s Urban Ag project announced that four new online courses are available on the promise of urban agriculture. The courses for commercial urban agriculturists, city planners, and policymakers were developed in partnership with USDA-AMS Marketing Services Division and Rooted, the Madison, Wisconsin-based center for urban agriculture enterprise and education. Each course is offered as a stand-alone learning experience. Course titles are Deciding Where to Farm in the City, Urban Farm Planning and Management, Urban Farming by Community Nonprofits, and Urban Agriculture Skills for Planners. Access to these courses is free until January 31, 2025, thanks to an introductory enrollment offer.
