Western SARE Graduate Student Research and Education Grants

Proposals are due December 4, 2024.
Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) funds proposals up to $30,000 over three years that present innovative research and educational outreach for advancing sustainable agriculture practices in the Western U.S. Only full-time graduate students enrolled at accredited universities in the Western region are eligible to apply for Graduate Student Research and Education Grants. The Western Region includes Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Micronesia, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Mariana Islands, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Graduate Student projects require a team of at least three people, including a graduate student (Applicant), a researcher (Principal Investigator, typically the applicant’s major advisor), and at least one producer.
