Minnesota Produce Safety Mini-Grant

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for approximately $42,400 in Produce Safety Mini-Grants. This funding opportunity helps reimburse produce growers for expenses that improve on-farm food safety systems. Awardees will receive reimbursement up to $800 per farm. No matching funds are required. To be eligible, applicants must farm in Minnesota and have grown and sold one or more of the following crops in 2024: leafy greens, apples, berries, carrots, cucumbers, garlic, green beans, herbs, melons, microgreens, mushrooms, onions, peppers, sprouts, summer squash/zucchini, or tomatoes. Eligible expenses include product packaging, water testing, sanitizer, and supplies to build portable wash stations.
