Utah Food Security Grant

Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is accepting applications for Utah Food Security Grants up to $200,000. This is a reimbursement grant open to processors located in Utah with fewer than 100 employees who plan to make an immediate impact on the state’s capacity to process or store Utah-raised or -grown beef, dairy, pork, eggs, poultry, lamb, bison, fruit, vegetables, grain, honey, or other products. A total of $1 million available; with $20,000 of that amount held for microgrants of $5,000 or less. The grant covers expenses including processing equipment, coolers/freezers, contractor costs (plumbing, draining, electrical work), portion cutters, slaughter equipment, sorting equipment, bottling equipment, and more.
