New York FreshConnect CSA for SNAP Program
Funds are awarded on a rolling basis, with all applications due by July 22, 2025.
New York Department of Agriculture and Markets has a total of $250,000 available through the current round of the FreshConnect CSA for SNAP Grant Program, which will allow SNAP participants to access Community Supported Agriculture by partially subsidizing the cost of weekly share purchases. Applications may request a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $50,000, available on a reimbursement basis. The applicant or third-party organization will award New York State producers up to 50% of the cost of CSA shares purchased by a SNAP recipient using their SNAP benefits. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, Indian Tribal organizations, public educational institutions, and local or municipal governments.
