Maryland Producer Cold Storage Grant Program

Applications will be processed as received, on a first-come, first-served basis, and the application deadline is August 27, 2025.
MARBIDCO’s Maryland Producers Cold Storage Grant Program provides matching grants up to $2,000 for farmers and watermen/commercial fisheries wishing to purchase cold storage equipment to continue or expand operations. Applicants are asked to make a 50% matching contribution towards the purchase and installation of cold storage equipment. Eligible applicants include farmers and watermen with at least $1,000 in agricultural or seafood product sales in calendar years 2024 or 2025. Eligible equipment includes large coolers, walk-in or reach-in refrigerators or freezers, on-truck cold storage, and installation costs for cold storage.
