Virginia Farm Recovery Block Grant Program Launches with Public Training Sessions

The new Virginia Farm Recovery Block Grant Program is intended to provide direct aid to eligible producers and eligible timber owners in the 27 localities affected by Hurricane Helene, comprised of 21 counties and six independent cities. Producers and timber owners with verifiable agriculture losses are invited to apply online and ward recipients can expaect to receive grant funds later this year. Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will host virtual public training sessions to provide an overview of the program and application process on August 26, 2025, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and on August 27, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
