Video Series Highlights Innovative Cover Crop Seeding

Farmers for Soil Health, in partnership with the University of Missouri’s Center for Regenerative Agriculture, released two videos in the Covering Ground series that highlights innovative cover crop seeding techniques. The six-minute video “Seeding Cover Crops While Harvesting” features Iowa farmer Jim O’Connell, who seeds cover crops with a combine-mounted air seeder during corn or soybean harvest. The second video, “Seeding Cover Crops with Drones,” features Missouri father-daughter farmers Alex and Emma Menzel, who offer cover crop drone seeding as an addition to their agricultural application business.
