How to Design an Agroforestry System with Gustavo Arroyo of Rancho Contento
In this video, coffee grower Gustavo Enrique Arroyo Lluberas explains how he establishes multi-story perennial cropping systems on his farm, Rancho Contento, in Puerto Rico. By incorporating native fruit trees within his coffee plantation, he is able to control erosion from wind and water, increase biodiversity, and build soil health. These attributes increase his farm’s resilience to storms and hurricanes.
