General Farm Description: Hungry World Farm (HWF) is a 175-acre learning farm in north-central Illinois committed to a healthy, hopeful world through regenerative food and agriculture. Building on a strong foundation, we’re expanding programming to sustain diverse operations and embody our mission: Seeking the well-being of all, Hungry World Farm inspires and educates people about healthy fields, food, and bodies while caring for the earth. Internship Details:
Intern will work with sheep, Red Devon cattle, layers, and guest-friendly homestead animals. Adaptive grazing, infrastructure, health checks, and guest engagement.
Summer: late May–early August 2026
This is an intense work experience in real farm conditions—heat, rain, mud, bugs, long days, changing plans. 🙂 That’s part of the learning.
Educational Opportunities: Internship experience will require 35 hours per week time commitment 25 working in enterprises 5 hours space for learning (1 hr discussion, 4 hrs structured) 5 hours guest engagement (helping with workshops, assisting in tours, participating in events).

Meals: No meals, but unlimited access to market garden seconds, one dozen eggs per week, and venison if donated by hunters.
Stipend: $400 per month for 10 weeks = $1000 for full participation
