General Farm Description: We are an established small/mid-scale diversified farm outside of Portland, Oregon entering our 13th season. We focus on organic, annual vegetable production for direct-to-consumer and a slowly growing list of wholesale customers. We vend at 3 farmer’s markets per week, a small on-site farm stand, and sell to restaurants and school districts. We are a small team that work closely together on a daily basis to grow high quality, organic produce for our customers. Internship Details:
We are seeking to fill full time farm crew positions for 2025. These positions will be part of a small team responsible for most day-to-day operations of the farm.
Primary Duties:
- Perform day to day field operations, including propagation, field preparation, planting, weeding and cultivation, pest and disease management, and harvest.
- Perform post-harvest processing duties such as sorting, washing, bunching, packing orders, and food safety.
- Vending at our farmer’s markets.
- Other duties include record keeping, irrigation installation and repair, trellising, field walks and crop observations, cleaning and farm maintenance, and various odd jobs like light carpentry, repair, etc.

Skills Desired: Qualifications • At least one year of outdoor or physically demanding work experience. • Physically able to endure repetitive motions such as stooping, squatting, and reaching, lifting 50lbs, and ability to work in all weather conditions. • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. • A personal interest in sustainable agriculture. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a kitchen/food service environment, or a similar small-team environment where speed, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. Desired Personal Traits: • Strong communication skills and the ability to set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and be respectful in a small team environment. • Able to balance attention to detail with speed and efficiency, and understand when to lean one way or the other. • Safety conscious. • Able to work independently without supervision, and able to ask questions when clarification is needed.
