General Farm Description: The farm at Camp Glen Brook is a diversified educational farm in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire that integrates sustainable agriculture with hands-on learning. The farm raises livestock and grows vegetables and fruit to support the Glen Brook kitchen, while also serving as a living classroom for campers, students, and community members. Through daily farm work and year-round programming, Glen Brook Farm teaches practical skills in food production, animal care, and land stewardship.

Internship Details:

Glen Brook Farm is seeking a motivated Assistant Farm Manager to support the daily operations of our diversified educational farm in Marlborough, New Hampshire. This position offers hands on experience in small scale agriculture while working alongside farm staff, students, and campers in an active learning environment.

The Assistant Manager will help care for a variety of livestock including sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, and poultry while also assisting with vegetable production in gardens and high tunnels. Daily work includes feeding animals, monitoring livestock health, helping with planting and harvest, and assisting with general farm projects and maintenance.

The Assistant Manager will also support the farm’s educational mission by working with visiting students and school programs. This may include assisting with farm demonstrations, supporting hands on activities, and helping students participate safely and confidently in farm work.

This position is well suited for someone interested in sustainable agriculture and agricultural education who wants to gain practical experience on a diversified farm. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, able to perform physically demanding tasks, and eager to learn while contributing meaningfully to the farm team.
