Wisconsin Forward Ag Grants Promote Circular Bioeconomy
Seven projects across Wisconsin will receive a total of $510,000 under the Wisconsin Forward Agriculture Use-Inspired Research & Development grant, to advance their initiatives. Forward Ag aims to create a circular agricultural bioeconomy in Wisconsin. It focuses on leveraging cross-sector partnerships and novel technologies and practices to convert ag waste and by-products into value-added products or practices that create new revenue streams for farmers and food processors. The grants will advance collaborative use-inspired research and development on priority topics in the region. The funded projects include converting ag waste to value, flax supply chain optimization, and different uses of whey.
